Getting the most out of your Walt Disney World vacation can take some planning.
Step 1 - Sign up for My Disney Experience.
This can be found on the right side of the bar at the top of Disney World's web page
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/. There is also a My Disney Experience app you should download onto your cell phone.
Step 2 - Reserve your dining experiences.
Disney has many different choices when it comes to dining. If you prefer to only eat at counter service restaurants, you won't need to make a reservation but do become familiar with mobile ordering on the My Disney Experience app. It will save you a lot of time instead of waiting in line to order your food.
If you would like to eat at a sit down restaurant, a dinner show or a character meal, you can make these reservations 180 days in advance of your trip. These reservations can be made on the My Disney Experience website or app.
Step 3 - Reserve your fastpasses.
Fastpasses can be used to get on the ride faster instead of waiting in the standby line. The fastpass gives you a return time and allows you to skip the standby line. Fastpasses are free for everyone who has a theme park ticket for that day.
Up to three fastpasses can be reserved in advance on the My Disney Experience website or app. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you may reserve up to three fastpasses 60 days in advance of your trip. If you are staying offsite, you can reserve your fastpasses 30 days in advance.
While you are on your trip, once you use your three advance fastpasses for the day, you can get more fastpasses using the My Disney Experience app.
